Steel Mills and Local News

Howdy folks! We just returned from Musikfest in Bethlehem, PA. The ten day festival is partially at the site of the former Bethlehem Steel Company, a massive steel mill that was once the largest shipbuilder in the nation. While the seafaring and steel forging days may be over, a casino and yearly festival now inhabit the space. The venue for our first night was a movie theatre, a first for us. The second day was in a festival tent. The crowd was enthusiastic and courteous, and we're looking forward to coming back.

But that's not all! On Friday we appeared on W-FMZ TV "Serving Eastern PA and Western NJ". We're still on the hunt for a video of our daytime television edition of "Broken Record," free merch to whoever can find a link! Ellis was asked by the anchor if we prefer playing festivals or arenas, and let's just say we're only qualified for one answer to that. It's amusing to think that we were in houses, hotel rooms, office lobbies, and doctor's offices across the region.

We will be in Wilmington, NC this weekend on Saturday 8/18 at The Whiskey. After that we're back at it September 1st. We'll be all over North Carolina this fall, including Boone, Asheville, Wake Forest and right at home at the Arts Center in Carrboro for New Year's Eve. We also have plans to return to NYC, Washington, DC, Nashville and plenty of other fine cities and towns. Keep up with the tour page as we add more dates. See you out there!
